How is a random group generator different from picking teams by hand?
Manual grouping often recreates the same social clusters week after week. A random shuffle gives every student new partners across a unit while you control only the group count, not individual friendships. Students accept results faster when the process is visibly random.

- You can request anywhere from 2 to 12 groups depending on class size. The tool divides names as evenly as possible, putting an extra student in some groups when the roster does not divide cleanly. For a class of 23 split into four groups, expect three groups of six and one group of five.
